Part-Time Retail Sales Manager

MLE seeks a part-time retail sales manager to oversee our flagship retail store. They will be responsible for covering 2 shifts at the store on an ongoing weekly basis, Friday 11-6 & Sunday 11-5, with holiday coverage as needed.

They will also be responsible for store merchandising, window installations, inventory management, and marketing initiatives for the store.

Our flagship store is a collaboration with expertly curated vintage clothing brand Chambers Vintage, and therefor this role is also responsible for selling clothing items during assigned shifts. Both brands are deeply invested in educating our customers on sustainability by creating unique interactions between our customers, products and brands.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed attractively
  • Oversee inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock counts, and online order pickups
  • Assist with store merchandising and window display installations
  • Greet customers warmly, educated about the brand, and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits.
  • Style and wear product following brand guidelines for inspiration and sales purposes.
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales goals, with a determination to close the sale
  • Assist in clientele generation through customer engagement and in-store events
  • Contribute to an in-store experience for customers that both surprises and delights them
  • Conceptualize and assist with in-store events to drive traffic and sales
  • Collaborate with stylists and celebrities for press opportunities
  • Deliver and foster a culture of excellence in client experience through a customer first mindset to build long term loyal client relationships
  • Deliver an elevated client experience acting as a brand ambassador - embody each brands values, engage customers on the brands, sharing the stories of MLE with a focus on educating on sustainability
  • Understand the core values and culture of MLE reflecting these in all efforts
  • Embody the MLE brand and its aesthetics while maintaining a polished an inspiring appearance.
  • Maintain extraordinary customer experience
  • Understand the need for consistent inventory accuracy and controls in store
  • Contribute to loss prevention in all areas of the business
  • Uphold time and attendance policy
  • Ensure the selling floor reflects the brand and concept standards at all times
  • Share your deep knowledge about our product with genuine enthusiasm
  • Communicate customer feedback so we can continuously improve our products and merchandising
  • Help ensure that the store environment is inspiring and products are easily accessible
  • Maintain and uphold a professional, healthy, and productive work environment
  • Cleaning the store on a regular basis with dusting and mopping
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
  • Available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week, evenings and weekends included
  • Able to work a flexible schedule (weekends and holidays if required to meet the needs of the business)

 

Experience

  • Required experience in retail sales is required
  • Required previous experience in luxury fashion or designer retail
  • Required previous experience with Shopify POS
  • Existing list of clientele and stylists in upstate New York seeking designer and sustainable fashion
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
